Privacy Policy

PLAYRIOT LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the HVAC Pro Calculator mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The short version: we don't collect personal data, we don't require an account, and your saved jobs live on your device. If you opt in to iCloud sync, they sync via your private iCloud container — PLAYRIOT cannot read them. No analytics SDKs. No tracking. No data sold.

1. About HVAC Pro Calculator

HVAC Pro Calculator is a professional calculator for HVAC technicians, refrigeration techs, electricians, and contractors. It computes BTU/cooling loads, duct sizing, voltage drop, refrigerant pressure-temperature, superheat/subcooling, sheet metal offsets, and unit conversions. All calculations are performed locally on your device.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information. HVAC Pro Calculator does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not collect any personal data.

Calculation data. All saved jobs (named records of your inputs, results, refrigerant selections, voltage drop calculations, etc.) are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

iCloud Sync (opt-in). If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your saved jobs sync via Apple's CloudKit service to your private iCloud container associated with your Apple ID. PLAYRIOT LLC has no access to data in your private container. Apple's privacy policy governs CloudKit data handling.

Subscription state. Whether you have an active HVAC Pro entitlement, derived from Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles the actual payment — we never see your payment details.

PlateScan (Pro). PlateScan processes data-plate photos entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are not uploaded anywhere and are not retained after the scan is confirmed or discarded.

3. What We Don't Collect

• No tracking across other apps or websites.
• No analytics SDKs — not Firebase, not Mixpanel, not Amplitude.
• No saved jobs on our servers — there are no servers.
• No location, contacts, or health data access. Camera access is used only if you invoke PlateScan, and images never leave the device.
• No selling of data. There is no data to sell.

4. How We Use Your Information

• All calculations are performed entirely on your device.
• Saved jobs are stored locally; iCloud sync is opt-in and uses your private container only.
• Subscription status is verified with Apple's StoreKit on launch.

5. Third-Party Services

Apple StoreKit. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. We receive only subscription status confirmation. We do not have access to your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID password.

Apple iCloud / CloudKit. If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your saved jobs are stored in the private iCloud container associated with your Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy governs CloudKit data handling. We cannot read data in your private container.

6. Device Permissions

The only permission HVAC Pro Calculator may request is camera access, and only when you open PlateScan; you can use every other calculator without granting it. No microphone, location, contacts, photos, or health data access is requested. The only network access used is StoreKit verifying your subscription and (if enabled) iCloud syncing your saved jobs.

7. Data Storage and Deletion

Saved jobs are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, they also sync to your private iCloud container. Deleting the app removes local data; jobs in iCloud remain until you remove them from iCloud or use the in-app Delete All Saved Jobs action in Settings → Data, which wipes both local and iCloud-synced records.

8. Children's Privacy

HVAC Pro Calculator is not directed at children. The App is intended for professional and adult users in the HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical trades.

9. EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR and equivalent laws: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object to processing. Because we hold no server-side data about you (your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud), the practical exercise of these rights is straightforward: stop using the app or delete it. To make a formal request, email support@playriot.co. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
